Brook Johnson has been intrigued about chocolate ever since he wondered why his chocolate Easter bunny tasted so bad when he was 12 years old. That curiosity lay dormant and forgotten for many years until finding A New Taste of Chocolate in the library in 2001. This book awoke his love of chocolate and his desire to learn as much as he could about everything chocolate.

Over the last 20 years, Brook has tasted close to 1,000 different chocolate bars in his search for the best in the world. In 2017, he turned his passion of exploration into a retail store focused on sharing his chocolate experience.

His shop, Yahara Chocolate, currently sells more than 150 different chocolate bars from all over the globe. Brook will only choose chocolate that was created with ethical treatment to every person in the supply chain and with respect to the environment.`
